Senior Fun Day

Today was senior fun day. There were 6 activities, they were games with Mr fisher, cooking with Mr James, slip and slide with Mrs Nelson, Pool fun with Mrs Todd, a catapult  with Mrs Hunter and building Christmas mouses.My favourite activity was the slip and slide with Mrs Nelson even tho I did something to my shoulder. Over all I liked   

Athletics

We are training for athletics.  Athletics is on Monday 5/11/18. Thats  the day of my birthday.Last year I came 3rd Just missing out on going to the south Island. Hopefully this year I'll make it to the south island.Before I go to JPC I would like to represent rotorua  in the south island for a sport or even represent New Zealand. I know it's a big goal but i'm training and trying to tackle it. 

Subjects I need to work on

I think I need to work on reading because I don´t read as fluent as I could read.when ever I´m reading and I see a big word coming up I always turn into a robot.

I also think I should work on my writing because I don´t have the most interesting story´s unlike some peoples in the school.

Exploration Rotatons

On Friday we learnt how to make a marble run. We had 3 options 1 make a cardboard milk box marble run 2 a Lego marble run or 3 a mega marble run. I did the mega marble run. We had to make a huge marble run. Lets just say that did not go well. We ended up making a 7 piece  marble run. That was not good.

Breakout EDU

On Tuesday we did Breakout EDU. Breakout EDU is when you have to solve a mystery and break into a box.Our team did it in 20 mins witch is a st marys record.After that the boys did two Math tests.The maths test were based on a pattern. Then we played a game of paper scissors rock with Mrs Cato.

Hei Tiki

On Tuesday we went to the museum tea room to learn about the history of the Tiki. We also made our own Tiki out of felt paper and buttons. We also got to touch a Tiki that was ad least 150 years old.

cross country

On Friday 28th of may it was cross country.We had to run the red track at the red roods. I can 8th because I hadn't done much exercise because of my arm.The thing I enjoyed most was the running and having some company with olly on the way of the run.

Bike Wise

On Monday 21st of May we did bike wise.Bike wise is when a professional bike rider comes into teach us about things to do with safety on a bike and how to ride it.Some of the things we learnt was steering,braking and control.The mane thing that he was trying teach us is how to control the bike.The thing I enjoyed most was the steering, the reason I enjoyed the steering the most is because it was a challenge to get to the hardest one.We also did helmet safety, the thing I learnt about helmet safety was that if you take a knock to the head with your helmet on you have to throw it out. 

Making jelly

This week we have been making jelly, we were making measurements with water first and we decided how much jelly we were going to put in total then we did how much jelly of a certain colour we were going to put in.

First we did red second we did yellow third we did green fourth we did orange and fifth we did  blue.We had to go down on our knees and measure what MLS it was before we put it in.

Food Science

Elixir of love

On Monday 1st of may 2018 some visitor's came to st Mary's to perform some opera.Opera is a show where everything is sung not said.The character's are Dulcamara Nemorino Adina and Belcore.My favourite character is Dulcamara because he gives us ten % off his produces.I enjoined the part at the end 
when  Nemorino and Adina get what they want.

Minecraft

I built this soccer field because at camp we played soccer with the adults and with kids.

Times Tablas

I need to practice my 9 times tablas.

Canvases

Today I did canvas art I got blue dye and did a little spots and they turned into cross.Next we got some leaves and painted them.Then we suck them on the canvas and took them off and it made a print.

Today is ash Wednesday and I have a cross on my head because it is reminding me to keep my promise.
